Blogger Not Allowing To Publish To WWW On Custom Domain

If you own a custom domain for your Blogger blog, but Blogger won't let you use the www.domainname.com address to publish it, you may need to disable Google Apps Web Pages for that domain. Google Apps are turned on if you ever set up Gmail for domains.

If you are receiving the Google 404 error on your www address it means that most likely you have your DNS setup correctly, but that Google has no record of a site at that address.

Web Pages assumes the right to publish to www on your domain and you must disable it before Blogger will allow you to publish to a www subdomain.

Go to http://google.com/a/ and click on "Returning user, sign on here."

Enter your domain and in the drop down menu, select "Manage this domain"

Once logged in and you arrive to your dashboard, click on "Web Pages"

Then disable the service.

Now go back to Blogger and change your publishing settings back to your www subdomain. If Web Pages was causing the problem before, Blogger should now let you publish to your www subdomain.
